Founder Story

The Humble Beginnings

Long before the distinctive luxury fleets of Sudiro Tungga Jaya dominated the Trans-Java highway, the foundation of the company was built on simple hard work and family values. The story began in Maospati, Magetan, East Java, through the entrepreneurial vision of Ki Agus Sidik. He established Agam Tungga Jaya (ATJ), a modest tourism bus service that relied heavily on dedication, meticulous maintenance, and a core commitment to local passenger safety.

The Generational Leap & Bold Vision

The true turning point and modern evolution of the company arrived when leadership transitioned to his son, Satria Galih Wisnumurti. Armed with a bold vision and a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of Indonesian public transportation, Galih recognized that modern passengers were no longer just looking for a ride—they were demanding world-class luxury, speed, and executive-level hospitality.

In 2017, under Galih’s visionary guidance, the company made a massive strategic leap by officially launching the regular Intercity-Interprovincial (AKAP) division under the flagship name: Sudiro Tungga Jaya (STJ).
